Here is your chance to have an awesome furnished home with off-street parking for a fraction of what you would expect in this great west of Robertson area in West LA (near Beverly Hills and Century City). We offer a unique and special place. We are very selective in choosing the right person for our home. This is not some tired over-rented place. We cater to someone looking for an upscale experience not a budget crash pad.
At the same time, we travel a lot and know how nice it is to walk into a place that already has everything you need included. The cost includes not only the use of the space and furnishings but also cable, wireless high-speed internet, monthly maid service, electric, gas, water, linens & towels (both newly purchased for you), appliances, TV, DVD player, laser printer, photocopier and more.
We have upgraded the apartment (including new hard wood floors, brightly painted walls, ceiling fans, fluffy furnishings, etc.) making it more like a condo. It is a bright upstairs unit, with windows on three sides and faces a great residential street. It is the largest and best unit in a well maintained small two story building.
Your new home away from home is a large 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit of approximately 1500 square feet. The largest bedroom is set up as a fully-equipped office (including laser printer and photocopier). You have full use of the apartment other than one of the bedrooms (where we keep our clothes for our own visits to the apartment).
Get all the financial benefits of a roommate with none of the drama. Currently, we spend about a total of 5 weeks a year in the apartment spread over the course of the year (flexible about this). You may have the place to yourself most of the time, all of the time or only some of the time. Your price stays the same even if we don't end up coming home while you are there for weeks (even months) at a time (unless you are a "solo stay").
We are happily married and get along with just about everyone. On the next few pages are some photos of our place in West LA. We have a unique proposition for someone who wants a premium place but who doesn't mind us coming for an occasional visit in exchange for a huge reduction in what he/she would expect to pay alone. Although we rent the place as if it is "shared with us" we live in Memphis, TN virtually all the time for business and family reasons that are not going to change for at least the next three years. Even when we are in LA, we are often out visiting friends and family in the evenings and on the weekends.
When we are not in Memphis, we are usually in Europe (American wife and British husband).
The apartment is within walking distance to everything from Starbucks to sushi to groceries and even a kosher Subway sandwich shop. We are also close (10-20 minutes) to most places in West LA: Beverly Hills, Century City, UCLA and Santa Monica. We are also less than 30 minutes to LAX and to downtown LA.
If you are a non-smoker with no pets, we would love to hear from you. Please let us know what brings you to LA and how long you would like to stay. We strive to maintain an allergy free home, so we cannot make any exceptions on smoking or pets.
For a year lease where it is okay for us to visit about 5 weeks a year (spread out over the year), including everything above, the cost is $1700 per MONTH.
Additional arrangements such as: shorter stays and guaranteed "solo stays" (meaning we agree not to come home while you are there) may be available for an additional fee. If you might be interested in one of these additional arrangements, please let us know and we can discuss it.
